Spring Awakening: A Musical
Spring Awakening: A Musical Wed 22/05/13 To Sat 25/05/13

A multiple award winner (eight Tonys, four Drama Desk Awards, four Oliviers, and a Grammy) Spring Awakening is a worldwide phenomenon. Exploring the difficult journey from adolescence to adulthood, this groundbreaking new production with our final year BA Musical Theatre students promises to be nothing short of electrifying. Our cast of actor-musicians are let loose on Spring Awakening’s rock score, portraying teenagers who find themselves careering into the unknown realms of sexual self-discovery and rebellion. This is a coming of age story where the guitars are as tightly strung as the characters.

This production contains scenes of a sexual nature, and may not be suitable for young children.

Epic Osborne
Epic Osborne Fri 24/05/13
International Fellow Steven Osborne has made a name for himself as a musician unafraid to tackle the great challenges of the repertoire, and Messiaen’s remarkable mediation on the childhood of Christ can have few rivals in that regard.

The Possibilities
The Possibilities Thu 30/05/13 To Sat 01/06/13

By contrast with the relatively conventional narrative form of Victory, The Possibilities, regularly performed around the world, is a cycle of short, intense theatrical meditations in a range of imagined historical settings in which characters act against their own instincts, but in doing so, both refine and complicate their humanity. Once again, individuals are placed in extreme and uncertain circumstances and must weigh their options before making impossible choices.

Tickets available from the Tron www.tron.co.uk / 0141 552 4267

Victory - Choices in Reaction
Victory - Choices in Reaction Thu 30/05/13 To Sat 01/06/13

Victory is perhaps the most popular and enduring of all of Barker’s plays. Set in the immediate aftermath of the restoration of Charles II the play charts the journey of the widow of a leading Parliamentarian, Bradshaw, as she gathers up the pieces of her disinterred and dismembered husband’s body. An affirmation of the human spirit in times of chaos, Victory’s ‘dark matter’ is shot through with flashes of wit and humour as Barker explores the outer reaches of human behaviour in the midst of political, social, and moral upheaval.

Tickets available from the Tron www.tron.co.uk / 0141 552 4267
